We are looking for a talented, commercially minded, marketing and social media savvy individual who is self-driven, motivated and keen to develop their professional communications skills whilst raising awareness to promote the councils Registrars and Print teams.

You will get the opportunity to work across a range of media, digital, marketing, internal and external communications and events projects.

You will need to be able to find creative and effective solutions to communications challenges. You must be able to juggle and deliver projects to deadline.  You will also need good, accurate copywriting skills to enable you to draft publications and promotional literature. A basic understanding of internal communications and branding would be a bonus, but not essential.

People skills are also important – you need to be able to build relationships with a variety of colleagues and partners at all levels and present and explain your ideas clearly in person and in writing. You will be responsible for developing new business across multiple sectors, understand and uncover the client's needs to offer the best solution and to develop new business whilst providing a first class service.

You will be liaising with a variety of venues across Islington and the City of London around licensing for marriages and civil partnerships which will assist Registrars reach its income targets and give the public a wider choice of ceremony venues.
