We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and professional administrator to join our Transition team as Business Support at the Islington Learning Disabilities Partnership (ILDP). The Transition team supports young people with a learning disability (and their families) through the health and social care changes that take place in advance of the young person’s 18th birthday, as well as when they leave full-time education and are developing the skills that they need to live more independently as adults.

Working effectively and collaboratively as part of a team you will deliver a high quality, efficient and professional service, providing support to the social care teams mainly based at ILDP. Duties will include collating and coordinating information and data for the Transition Team in a timely manner.  You will assist with the smooth running of team operations including diary management, minute-taking, supporting with premises management, processing payments and other business processes. You will also be expected to deal with ad-hoc projects as required.

As a self-motivated and competent administrator, you will have experience of working in a Local Authority environment in a similar or related role. With excellent verbal and written communication skills you will be confident in using Microsoft Office packages and be able to cleanse and maintain databases to audit standards. The ability to manage and prioritise workloads, maintain accuracy and attention to detail whilst working at speed to meet deadlines is vital.

You will be tested on Word and Excel, as well as Literacy and Numeracy, as part of the interview process.

Closing date: Sunday 26th January 2020 at 23:59

Applicant requirements

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the resident labour market test. UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UKVI website. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement. Guidance can be found here Criminal Records Checks for Overseas Applicants.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
