A vacancy has arisen for the role of Community & Events Officer within the Parks Service. We need a person who has a wide range of skills and ability to co-ordinate the events application process and to work with the Parks Management Team and the Council's Licensing Authority to ensure events are run safely and in full accordance with Licence conditions. The successful applicant will also provide advice and support to community groups and other event organisers in putting on and delivering events in parks and to work proactively to develop groups capacity to deliver events.

You need to be committed to providing the highest level of service and someone who wants to take advantage of the Council’s commitment to on-going training and career development.

The main abilities you must have to succeed in this post are to be able to work on your own initiative, demonstrate customer focus and strong IT skills in order to assist with the use of our event management system ensuring that key records are stored in a structured way.
